Continuation of Nightly Closures: Old Dixie Hwy/CR 546 underneath Polk Parkway (Florida Turnpike Enterprise)
Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) has scheduled a full closure of eastbound and westbound Old Dixie Highway/County Road (CR) 546 underneath Polk Parkway/SR 570 to allow crews to perform bridge construction activities.
To complete this work, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:
Overnight full road closures, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, January 3, and nightly through Thursday, January 6.
* Please note, only one direction will be closed at a time.
Detour information:
- Northbound Polk Parkway/SR 570 traffic wishing to access westbound Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 will be directed to exit at Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 (Exit 18), travel east on CR 546 to Berkley Road, travel south on Berkley Road to SR 600/US 92, travel west on US 92 to Old Dixie Highway and travel north on Old Dixie Highway to access westbound CR 546.
- Southbound Polk Parkway/SR 570 traffic wishing to access eastbound Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 will be directed to exit at Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 (Exit 18), travel west on CR 456 to Old Dixie Highway, travel south on Old Dixie Highway to SR 600/US 92, travel east on US 92 to Berkley Road and travel north on Berkley Road to access eastbound CR 546.
- Westbound Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 traffic wishing to continue west will be directed to Berkley Road, travel south on Berkley Road to SR 600/US 92, travel west on US 92 to Old Dixie Highway and travel north on Old Dixie Highway to access CR 546.
- Eastbound Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 traffic wishing to continue east will be directed to Old Dixie Highway, travel south on Old Dixie Highway to SR 600/US 92, travel east on US 92 to Berkley Road and travel north on Berkley Road to access CR 546.
Access from eastbound Polk Parkway to eastbound Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 & westbound Polk Parkway to westbound Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 (Exit 18) will remain open.
This work is part of the project widening Polk Parkway/SR 570 from Old Dixie Highway/CR 546 to south of Pace Road. Please note that this schedule may change due to inclement weather or unforeseen conditions.
