USPTA Pro 1 Andy Durham became a teaching professional in 1971. “Combining a passion for tennis with a love for teaching, I was fortunate to be offered a teaching position in 1971 at a public park, and I was hooked,” Andy says. “I enjoy people’s progress at every age and ability as much as they do.” His students include Joey Blake, boys world No. 4, and Sara Gomer, WTA No. 72.
As a player, Andy competed in qualifying tournaments for Wimbledon in 1979, played on the USTA/Penn Circuit in 1978 and 1979, and won the LET Cup National Mixed Doubles Championships in 1975. He is a certified USTA High Performance Coach and a member of the British Tennis Coaches Association.
Office Manager/Assistant Pro – Logan Allen
Logan is a college graduate from Polk State College where he earned a bachelor’s of business administration. Logan played #1 for Auburndale High School for 4 years and received scholarships to play tennis in college. He is responsible for various programs at the center and is training to become a certified tennis professional with the USPTA, USRSA and cardio tennis certified. Logan’s desire is to share his passion for tennis with students of all ages. Logan is the one that runs the pro shop and can answer all of the questions about programs and memberships. He is also the Assistant High School Boys Tennis Team coach and works with players of all abilities.
Chief of Maintenance – Ron Paiselli
Ron maintains the courts and grounds of the Cindy Hummel Tennis Center. He is a tennis enthusiast and an avid musician. Ron is always willing to lend a hand in various tennis activities and drills when he is needed.
