WATER DISTRIBUTION: The City of Auburndale’s water distribution system has a total of 11,342 water connections. These connections are supplied from several different pipe sizes ranging from 2 inches thru 16 inches. The water distribution system employs 25 employees. These employees are responsible for installing new lines and maintaining existing pipe, taps, installing and reading water meters and repairs. On-call water personnel work after hours to respond to all water emergencies.

ATLANTIC WATER PLANT: The Atlantic Water Treatment Plant is located at 102 Ariana Avenue. This plant was the first water treatment plant in Auburndale and presently remains the primary plant. It was built in 1955. Originally the plant treated approximately 300,000 gallons per day. The plant was updated several times in past years, and presently treats 4.8 million gallons of water per day.

WINONA WATER PLANT: The Winona Water Plant is located at 1602 Seminole Avenue. This plant can treat 1.2 million gallons of water per day. The plant was built in 1982 to help the Atlantic plant service the increase of residential customers. Of the three plants, this one doesn’t have a forced air degasification system. Winona Water Treatment Plant is the smallest of the city’s three plants.

BERKLEY WATER PLANT: The Berkley Water Treatment Plant is located at 3505 Berkley Road, and was built in 2008. This plant is the newest of the three, and was located so it could serve the growing needs for water north of the city. It has capability of treating 2.2 million gallons of water per day.
