Building and Zoning DepartmentThe Building and Zoning Department provides the residents and businesses of Auburndale with information on zoning and land use, issues occupational licenses and building permits and ensures compliance with the City's codes and ordinances. Finance Department - City Clerk's OfficeThe City's Finance Department - City Clerk's Office is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the City, including receiving revenues from numerous customers and governmental agencies, receiving invoices and making payments to City vendor's and contractors and coordinating all budgeting activities. In addition to oversight of the City's financial operations, this department maintains all official City records, conducts local elections and transcribes and maintains the minutes of City Commission meetings. Fire DepartmentThe Auburndale Fire Department is made up of the Fire and Rescue Division. The City of Auburndale's Parks and Recreation Department provides the community with outstanding recreational facilities for youth and adult programs, including the City's state of the art softball complex, various community and neighborhood parks, baseball, softball and soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball courts, shuffle board courts, community museum, cemeteries, and the Municipal Beach and boat ramp. Further, the Parks and Recreation Department maintains various public facilities that are utilized to host senior programs, community functions, private events and lessons.
