City Hall Services

The offices of the Mayor, City Commission and City Manager are housed within Historic City Hall, which was built in 1927, and designated as a local historic landmark in March 1994. These Departments are responsible for setting the City's policy, administration and operations of all City departments.

Auburndale Library

Building and Zoning Department

The Building and Zoning Department provides the residents and businesses of Auburndale with information on zoning and land use, issues occupational licenses and building permits and ensures compliance with the City's codes and ordinances.

Finance Department - City Clerk's Office

The City's Finance Department - City Clerk's Office is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the City, including receiving revenues from numerous customers and governmental agencies, receiving invoices and making payments to City vendor's and contractors and coordinating all budgeting activities. In addition to oversight of the City's financial operations, this department maintains all official City records, conducts local elections and transcribes and maintains the minutes of City Commission meetings.

Fire Department

The Auburndale Fire Department is made up of the Fire and Rescue Division.

The Fire and Rescue Division is a full service division that provides fire suppression, basic life support (BLS), rescue, fire protection, and public education to the residents of the City of Auburndale.

Parks and Recreation Department

The City of Auburndale's Parks and Recreation Department provides the community with outstanding recreational facilities for youth and adult programs, including the City's state of the art softball complex, various community and neighborhood parks, baseball, softball and soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball courts, shuffle board courts, community museum, cemeteries, and the Municipal Beach and boat ramp. Further, the Parks and Recreation Department maintains various public facilities that are utilized to host senior programs, community functions, private events and lessons.

Police Department

The City of Auburndale's Police Department is a full-service department that offers a variety of policing services and safety programs to the residents of the Auburndale community. These services include, community patrol, investigation, school resource officer program, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, Community Oriented Policing (COP) program and communications. In addition, the Police Department serves as a liaison to other local and state enforcement agencies (e.g.: Polk County Sheriff's Office, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement).

The City of Auburndale Public Works Department is charged with maintaining various public facilities, including the City's streets, rights-of-way, maintaining the City's fleet and providing sanitation collection services.
