WATER DISTRIBUTION:   The City of Auburndale’s water distribution system has a total of 11,342 water connections. These connections are supplied from several different pipe sizes ranging from 2 inches thru 16 inches. The water distribution system employs 25 employees. These employees are responsible for installing new lines and maintaining existing pipe, taps, installing and reading water meters and repairs. On-call water personnel work after hours to respond to all water emergencies.

Atlantic Water Plant: The Atlantic Water Treatment Plant is located at 102 Ariana Avenue. This plant was the first water treatment plant in Auburndale and presently remains the primary plant. It was built in 1955. Originally the plant produced approximately 300,000 gallons per day. The plant has been updated several times, and presently produces 4.8 million gallons of water per day. The facility utilizes force-air degasification for hydrogen sulfide removal, chlorine for disinfection, and fluoride addition for dental health.

Winona Water Plant: The Winona Water Plant is located at 1602 Seminole Avenue. The Plant was built in 1982 and produces 1.2 million gallons of water per day.  This facility uses Chlorine for disinfection and Fluoride addition for dental health.

Berkley Water Plant: The Berkley Water Treatment Plant is located at 3505 Berkley Road, and was built in 2008. This plant is the newest of the three, and was located so it could serve the growing demands north of the City. This facility has capacity of producing 2.2 million gallons of water per day, and utilizes force-air degasification for hydrogen sulfide removal, chlorine for disinfection, and fluoride for dental health.
